Nokia Unveils C2-00 Dual Sim Budget Phone in Kenya

Nokia Corporation has once again unveiled one of its dual Sim handsets to the growing Kenyan mobile phone market. Comparatively similar features to Nokia X1-01, Nokia C2-00 is specifically targeting those intending to use two Sim cards and offer them a possibility of having a single handset running two separate Sim cards simultaneously. Dual Sim phones were previously considered high end products targeting those who were not inconvenienced by their pricy tags.

Nokia indicated that most of its customers have been calling for cheap dual Sim phones and that was the reason behind the unveiling. Looking at Nokia C2-00, its major selling point is actually the dual Sim feature which keeps both two separate Sim cards active at the same time; meaning you won’t miss calls or text messages on either of the Sim cards. The first Sim card on Nokia C2-00 is located underneath the battery while the second Sim on the side and its hot swappable meaning it can be removed and inserted when the phone is on; a feature distinct to Nokia.
Other strong points on Nokia C2-00 include its ability to let you answer a phone call on one Sim while holding a call on the other Sim. Nokia C2-00 mobile phone has made it easier for those having separate phone number accounts i.e. for work and home purposes to have both Sim cards working at the same time on a budget friendly handset Nokia C2-00 handset. Nokia C2-00 also offers other important features including its ability to support a microSD card of up to 32GB and an FM radio with a music player.
Nokia C2 Features/Specifications;
  • Easy Swap. You can swap the second Sim card with any other Sim without necessarily shutting down the phone.
  • Symbian 40 OS. Unlike Nokia X1-01 which operates on Symbian 30, Nokia C2-00 runs on Symbian 40 giving it an edge in terms of internet access, web browser and Nokia messaging for email.
  • MicroSD card up to 32GB. An external MicroSD card (up to 32GB) can be used on Nokia C2-00 to store thousands of photos, videos and music files.
