Samsung Galaxy Y Duos S6102 and Pro-Duos B5512Smart Phones

Spicing up Samsung’s entry level Android handsets portfolio are two new devices, Galaxy y duos S6102 and Pro Duos B5512 without and with a QWERTY keyboard respectively. The new handsets houses features similar to their older Galaxy Y S5360 and Galaxy Y 5510 Pro sibling though support two carrier SIM cards at the same time. Both Samsung Galaxy y Duos S6102 and Pro-Duos B5512 support two separate SIM cards, letting users enjoy the convenience associated with two SIM cards on a single handset. ‘Duos’ simply means, users can have two phone numbers i.e. for personal life and an additional number for work/ business activities on a single device at their disposal. There are numerous pros associated with Dual handsets ranging from convenience to costing factors, considering variant plans enforced by different mobile service providers i.e. data rates and voice call tariffs.

Comparing Samsung Galaxy Y Duos S6102 with its sibling Galaxy Y Pro-Duos B5512, the later has a QWERTY keypad and a 2.6 inch display screen slightly 0.5inch less than its sibling though both are capacitive touch-screens. The two siblings are technically similar, however, just like Duos in this case symbolizing support for double SIM cards, so is PRO which means professional, hence a QWERTY keyboard. Samsung Galaxy Y Duos S6102 runs on v2.3 Gingerbread operating system and is powered by an 832 MHz processor just like its older siblings Galaxy Y S5360 and Galaxy Y 5510 Pro. If you really need an Android powered smart phone supporting two SIM cards but limited by your budget, I suggest getting Samsung Galaxy Y Duos S6102; you’ll find it handy specially its support for double separate SIM cards. Samsung Galaxy Y Pro-Duos B5512 has a QWERTY keyboard, the main distinct feature separating it from Y Duos S6102; it has opted for a smaller 2.6inch screen size to accommodate a QWERTY keyboard. Apart from the screen size and QWERTY keyboard, Samsung Galaxy Y Pro-Duos B5512 has a slightly bigger battery (1350mAh) compared to Galaxy Y Duos S6102’s 1300mAh.
