Huawei mobile is set to introduce the Y7a with fast-charging capability in the Kenyan market

Huawei mobile is set to unveil the Y7a with a massive 5000mAh battery and fast charging capability in the Kenyan market. The device comes after the Chinese phone maker unveiled a similar Y9a device back in 2020, which had a slightly smaller battery, smaller display panel but with great internals including larger RAM. According to the tech giant, Kenyans should expect the new Huawei Y7a to hit retail shelves somewhere in early February 2021.

One of the flagship features on the device is the ability to charge in a few minutes, thanks to Huawei’s 22.5 W SuperCharge. The manufacturer indicates, users will be able to experience up to two hours of watching videos with just 10 minutes of charging. Additionally, Y7a comes with a large 5000mAh battery which works in tandem with intelligent AI power-saving algorithm, to give users up to 38.2 hours of 4G calling, 16.6 hours of online video playback and 12 hours of 4G browsing the internet. SuperCharge technology had missed out on most budget devices, but it’s good to see Huawei introduce this awesome feature to the category.

According to Huawei Mobile Kenya country head Mr. Jim Zhujie who was speaking on the imminent launch, the company was bringing SuperCharge technology to mid-range segment to accord users in the category some awesome features that were previously left out for high-end siblings. Zhujie also added the device was equipped with a larger battery that would take care of heavy users.

Additionally, Zhujie acknowledged that phones have become an integral part of our daily lives, used in commuting and travelling to business trips, which makes them never leave our fingertips. He indicated that this was the main driving factor that made the company to bring super-fast charging and large battery capacity in the budget segment.
