In today’s fast changing world, efficiency has become key and especially in the work place. The Epson L800 is the world’s first branded photo printer with an integrated ink tank system that gives you high volume prints at the lowest running cost. It is therefore the perfect definition of efficiency.

The ultra-high capacity inkjet printers are designed to offer reliable, cost effective colour printing and can be refilled without the mess or hassle of other ink tank systems.

You can print vibrant, life-like colours with long-lasting results with the L800 and produce borderless photos up to A4 size. Creating personalized digital photo albums can easily be achieved by printing directly onto CDs/DVDs and, with fast print speeds, you can produce a 10 x 15cm photo in as little as 12 seconds.

The Body

From a glance, the Epson Inkjet Photo L800 is compact and measures 537 x 571 x 289 mm with the trays open. When the printer is not in operation, the dimensions shrink to 537 x 289 x 188 mm. The glossy top lid opens to convert into a paper support. The printer is built with straight edges and curved paneling.

In the open position this input paper support reveals the sheet feeder and supports 120 sheets of A4 plain paper and 20 sheets of premium glossy photo paper. The sheet feeder is equipped with Edge Guide, so that you can adjust the feed according to the width of the media. There is another printer cover lid that provides access to the printing mechanism. Clearing paper jam is easily done with printer cover access. The front output tray can be accessed by opening the front cover. The front tray has an extension to support ejected media. The output tray has a capacity of 50 sheets A4 sized paper.

The L800 features an on-demand piezoelectric ink jet methodology. It’s also built for bi-directional printing, meaning that when the first line prints from left to right, the second line starts from right to left.

The print head has 90 nozzles for Black and 90 nozzles each for Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Light Cyan and Light Magenta colors. This Epson Inkjet printer can handle A4, A5, A6, B5, C6, DL media sizes. The printer consumes only 13 W of power during operation. Connectivity is supported by USB 2.0 port.

L800 is in the larger family consisting of the Epson L200 and L100 where all of them feature Epson’s Fast Ink Top-up (FIT) technology which minimizes ink leakage. This technology includes specially designed air-tight caps and filters, as well as a choke valve which controls the flow of ink to prevent backflow. This also means users can easily and safely transport the printer to wherever you need to work without hassle.
