LG Nexus 4 E960 Specs, Features and Price Review

I typically classify Android phones under three tags; entry level/budget devices, mid-range droids and high-end droids, LG Nexus 4 E960 is undoubtedly a high-end smart phone considering some serious specs underneath that include a ferocious quad-core processor capable of handling just about any app out there. Besides an impressive processor, Nexus 4 E960 packs a top notch 2GB RAM, 4.7 inch display panel with Google’s latest 4.2 Jelly Bean OS. We all expect specs of this magnitude to come at a price, which’s not the case here; LG Nexus 4 E960’s typical price is slated around $300 or Ksh.25800 for the 8GB variant which’s technically half the price of close rivals. Having carefully scanned through specs and the retail price, Nexus 4 E960 is a remarkable device worth putting on your shortlist, though its design falls short on a number of close rivals, it may not be the best but not the worst either.

LG Nexus 4 E960 may not be the best device we’ve seen but it has what it takes to compete favorably in its genre, the specs underneath are undeniably impressive and the latest Android version inside erases any doubts on performance. Android v4.2 Jelly Bean brings new features including settings shortcut in the notification bar, turn by turn GPS navigation and some other tweaks that makes it more appealing than earlier versions. The phone’s design is however not as remarkable as we may have wanted, you’ll notice a single piece of glass covering the front panel till the edges while the back squeezes in a subtle sparkly effect. Unlike most smart phones, there’s no company logo or any physical buttons on the front panel besides the 4.7inch display screen, it’s a simple design, though it all comes down to your taste. The toughened corning gorilla glass covering the front side will escape most scratches compared to ordinary glasses. Nexus 4 E960 has an impressive 768×1280 screen resolution that will render crisp images and smoother text than rivals, only minimal scrolling is needed while surfing web-pages at this resolution.
It has impressive features, yes, but like any other device out there, LG Nexus 4 E960 has some disturbing weak-points too; you’ll have to deal with limited internal storage whether you have an 8GB or 16GB model, as there’s no SD card slot on this handset.  Secondly, Nexus 4 E960’s battery is not removable, meaning; you won’t have liberty to inter-change its battery as you may have wished. We also expected a device with such impressive hardware to support LTE/4G network, that’s not the case here, it may however not be such a big deal considering limited LTE/4G coverage; in fact only a handful of states currently use this technology.
