Unlike Canon Pixma MG8220which lacks fax functionality, MFC-J430w works perfectly as a fax machine either from a computer or just as a standalone fax machine.

Apart from acting as a fax machine, it can print documents from various sources, scan images to the computer and act as a copier either via a computer or as a standalone copier.
