Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc S Android Smart Phone

Sony Ericsson has unveiled Xperia Arc S, the fastest Android smart phone in the Xperia genre featuring a 1.4GHz single core processor speed. The new Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc S has borrowed substantial resemblance from its predecessor sibling Xperia Arc ranging from the display panel to body design; however, unlike its predecessor Xperia Arc which is powered by 1GHz Scorpion processor, Arc S has a more advanced 1.4GHz Qualcomm MSM8255T Snapdragon processor. Being the fastest among Xperia siblings, the new Android smart phone is anticipated to attract a higher price tag as well as compete comfortably amongst other devices on the market falling in its genre. Currently, there are countless Android devices on the market creating a very slim and tight chance for poor quality devices to see the light of the day; most succumb to competition.

Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc S houses a 4.2 inch FWVGA reality display panel coupled by Sony’s Bravia engine, the Bravia engine enhances image processing capabilities on the smart phone leading to vivid and crisp clear image output. In addition, the handset comes with a powerful 8.0-Megapixel digital camera; gauging from high-end smart phones already on the market, Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc S’s camera is the most powerful in terms of Megapixel resolution in the industry; most smart phones running on Android operating system are built with a 5.0-Megapixel camera. The 8.0-Megapixel digital camera is further enhanced by Sony’s Exmor R sensor technology and is capable of recording 720 pixels High-Definition video clips. After analyzing the above specifications, Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc S managed to score high and even surpass bench marks established by some of the industries best performing Android smart phone devices such as Samsung 19100 Galaxy S2, most of their specifications match, except for a dual core processor.
In addition, Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc S runs on updated Android v2.3.4 Gingerbread operating system; apparently, the newer version of Gingerbread will also be available to the entire Xperia family currently running on v2.3, the updated software comes with exciting features such as USB on the go, Sony 3D sweep panorama for the camera, Swype like text input (T9 Trace) integrated screen capture and an even better facebook integration. The new Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc S has an onboard 512MB RAM and features 205 GPU.
