How to unsubscribe from Safaricom’s Skiza tune service

Skiza tune service allows Safaricom’s subscribers to set a custom ringtone or sound that callers listen to before you receive their phone calls. The service which is available to anyone on the Safaricom network has since been commercialized where you can subscribe to a certain sound or song and charged a small fee from the creator.

Since the service was unveiled a few years back, Kenyans have opted in some funny messages and songs that if the caller is up to it can be entertained while the recipient reaches for their phones. And while some of us are not interested in the service, for the few that opt in and no longer wanted to continue using it, there’s a simple way to unsubscribe from the Skiza Tunes service.

How to unsubscribe from the SKIZA TUNE service

  • Dial *811#
  • From the Skiza options, tap on ‘Manage My Tune’.
  • Choose Skiza tune
  • On the next page, select the tune you want to unsubscribe from
  • Tap on “Delete” and press “Send”, That’s it!
