Epson has unveiled three new printer models targeting large printing firms in need of maximum quality, high throughput and application flexibility. SureColor SC-S30610, SC-S50610 and SC-S70610 printers are designed to offer efficient and environmentally-friendly production at the minimal total cost of ownership, they’re intended to allow sign-makers, print firms, digital copy shops and repro centers to expand their service offering. According to Epson’s Regional Sales Manager Mukesh Bector, the three printers can produce everything from posters, signs, banners, backlit panels and POS materials to vehicle wraps, interior decorations and exhibition displays.
“With the 64-inch (162.6cm), four-colour (CMYK), roll-fed SC-S30610 printer for instance, a wide range of roll media is supported, which allows users to print reliably and cost-effectively on vinyl, PVC and clear film, photographic paper and a range of popular banner substrates,” he said.
SC-S30610 speed is complemented by support for a wide range of media, ease-of-use, low cost of ownership and environmental credentials, making the SC-S50610 a compelling package for companies with high throughput requirements.
Designed throughout to offer a very high level of efficiency, the SC-S50610 on the other hand incorporates reliable Epson-engineered components to minimise downtime, while a built-in dryer ensures that prints are ready quickly for subsequent production stages. For very high throughput applications, an additional drying system is included as standard.
The printer’s ergonomic design and time-saving features ensure that sustained workloads are easily managed. Thanks to a new jack system, loading a new media roll is a one-person job, with the media loading lever conveniently accessible from both the front and the rear of the printer. Once the roll is loaded, the SC-S50610 automatically optimises media tension and print-head alignment.
