With an Airtel Line, You can Redeem Nakumatt Smart Points

Airtel Kenya subscribers can now redeem their Nakumatt smart points right from their handsets, smart points are earned by customers depending on the amount spend shopping in Nakumatt stores.  To enjoy the service, customers need to have a NakumattSmartcard – a plastic electronic card that’s issued to frequent customers on request and on which loyalty points are accumulated that can later be redeemed for various prizes. In addition, Airtel customers must pair their lines with a smart card to redeem their prizes.

Loyalty schemes often seem fantastic, customers consider them as rewards for their loyalty while businesses use it as a clever way to retain customers – at least those who use Safaricom are familiar with the famous ‘Bonga Points’. However, in most cases it’s only heavy spenders who can redeem or accumulate enough redeemable points – consider an example; to earn 2000 Nakumatt smart points, you’ll need to have spend more than Kshs.200,000 shopping in their stores, it’s the kind of money you’ll least expect from an average Kenyan.

How to Redeem Nakumatt Smart Points using Airtel Line

  • Airtel customers need to first pair their lines with their NakumattSmartcards by using a USSD Menu
  •    From your Airtel Line, simply dial *747# to access the USSD menu and follow the instructions to pair their NakumattSmartcards
  • To redeem smart points, simply dial *747# and follow the screen menu
  • For every Ksh.100 spend, you earn one Nakumatt point
