Itel A70 4G Unveiled in Kenya: Upgraded Features, Stylish Design, and Affordable Pricing!

Itel, a key player in the smartphone industry, unveiled its latest addition to the A series by introducing the A70 4G in Kenya. This announcement directly follows the earlier release of the A60, promising significant upgrades and design enhancements, symbolizing a stride towards improved technology and aesthetics.

Similar to its predecessor, the A70 boasts a 6.6-inch 720p screen with a standard 60Hz refresh rate, ensuring continuity in screen specifications. The device is available in four vibrant colors: Stylish Black, Brilliant Gold, Field Green, and Azure Blue. Notably, the black variant proudly displays the Awesome logo at the lower back, featuring a subtle shimmer.

Departing from its predecessor’s microUSB charging port, the A70 notably adopts a Type-C charging port, marking a clear shift in ports. Additionally, it introduces the convenience of a side-mounted fingerprint reader for biometrics, a feature previously absent and emblematic of technological advancement and user-centric design.

Under the hood, the A70 showcases upgrades in processor, RAM, and storage configurations, housing the Unisco T603 chipset with either 3GB or 4GB of onboard RAM. Thanks to itel0S 13, it provides expandability up to 8GB through additional virtual memory. Storage options include 128GB or 256GB onboard, with further flexibility for expansion via an external MicroSD card.

Unlike its predecessor, the itel A70 deviates from the Android 12 (Go Edition) and ships with the full-fledged Android 13 operating system.

The camera setup also sees an upgrade, featuring a 13MP dual main camera and an 8MP selfie camera – a significant improvement over the A60’s 8MP dual main and 5MP selfie cameras. Both cameras support 1080p video recording.

Despite these advancements, Itel maintains a 5000mAh battery capacity for the A60 and supports Type-C charging at 10W.

Upon unboxing, users discover a package that includes the phone, a set of earphones for an immersive audio experience, an indispensable sim ejector tool, and finally, the charger along with its accompanying cable. The Itel A70, renowned for its affordability and performance quality, carries a price tag of Ksh 13,000. This sought-after gadget is available not only at Itel retail stores nationwide but also in partner stores and on popular online platforms like Jumia and Kilimall.

In collaboration with Safaricom and Easybuy, Itel provides device financing plans, including the Lipa Mdogo Mdogo plan from Safaricom. These financing options are available at both official Safaricom shops and select partner retail stores.

In celebration of its 16 years of operation, Itel initiates a rebranding campaign beyond mere device announcements. Strategically targeting the youth, the brand unveils an innovative logo with the captivating tagline “Enjoy Better Life.” Itel consolidates its ecosystem, ranging from children’s electronics to personal care and power accessories, under three distinct brands: KeeKid, Sundaze, and Power Master.

Implementing its expansion strategy, Itel plans to launch an experience store for tech items while simultaneously extending its market presence to three additional countries. This move solidifies Itel’s position in the tech industry across 17 nations.
