Samsung’s Galaxy A34: The Best Budget Phone with Flagship Features?

In the world of smartphones, flagship phones can be quite expensive even with contract plans. Luckily, there are cheaper options that perform just as well. One such example is the Samsung Galaxy A34. The A34 looks very similar to the Samsung S23, especially in the Awesome Lime color, but costs less than half the price at Ksh 40,000.

The most modern apparatus, the Galaxy A34, presents an ideal selection for individuals unconcerned with ostentatious frills and jazzy embellishments. Possessing an admirable display, an enduring power source, satisfactory operation, and produces passable portraits, this mechanism, as a spawn of Samsung, arrives with assurances of perpetual software and security renovations. This model was launched alongside the Galaxy A54 here in Kenya.

The A34 is a large phone that measures 161.3 x 78.1 x 8.2mm and weighs just under 200g. The phone’s plastic build is offset by its similarity to the S23, making it look more expensive than it is. However, the back panel feels a bit flimsy and depresses a little too easily. Unfortunately, unlike most phones in its price range, the A34 does not come with a clear case in the box.

Samsung Galaxy A34 boasts high-quality haptics that make it feel more premium. The electronic device boasts a sizable AMOLED screen measuring 6.6 inches that refreshes swiftly at a rate of 120Hz, resulting in seamless and lively scrolling with hues that truly pop. The screen is bright and easy to see outdoors at up to 1000 nits, a feature that is impressive at this price point. Although the resolution may not be the highest, the Full HD+ is enough for everything to look sharp and detailed. Incorporated into the phone’s screen is an embedded fingerprint sensor, however its function may be inconsistent.

The Galaxy A34 is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 1080 processor, which provides the phone with enough power for most uses. The phone has a 5G support feature and 6/8GB RAM. Although it may not be a gaming powerhouse, it has enough strength for most games. The phone also has a dual-SIM tray that can alternatively be used to expand the 128GB or 256GB storage by up to 1TB.

The A34 has a triple-lens camera that includes a 48Mp main with OIS, an 8Mp ultra-wide lens, and a 5Mp macro. While it may not have as many sensors as the Samsung S23, the default settings produce highly saturated, good-looking pictures. Additionally, the phone has a 13Mp selfie camera.
