Airtel Kenya Introduces High-Quality VoLTE Technology for Superior Voice and Video Calls on 4G Network

Airtel Kenya has announced the availability of Voice over LTE technology on its network in the country. Airtel introduced the advanced calling feature, commonly refered to as Voice over LTE (VoLTE), aimed at delivering excellent sound quality during voice and video calls on its 4G network.

To take advantage of this exceptional experience, users must possess a VoLTE-enabled handset along with a 4G SIM Card.

In addition to enhanced voice quality, this technology facilitates swift call set-up, allowing users to make calls while simultaneously browsing the internet.

Airtel’s Managing Director, Ashish Malhotra, pointed out the company’s dedication to delivering innovative solutions that provide exceptional value and an outstanding customer experience. This commitment has resulted in the introduction of VoLTE. Additionally, Airtel proudly announces nationwide coverage of their 4G network, ensuring reliable and accessible service for all customers.

It is worth mentioning that Airtel’s launch of VoLTE follows its main competitor, Safaricom, who unveiled a similar feature in mid-2019, becoming the pioneering firm to introduce this technology to East Africa.

As part of their rebranding strategy under the campaign named ‘A Reason to Imagine,’ Airtel has introduced an enticing data bundle package tailored for young individuals, particularly content creators.

Dubbed the “amazing 1GB bundle,” this package is priced at Sh50 and remains valid for 24 hours, catering to the evolving needs of Airtel’s target audience.
