Infinix Launches Hot 30 with Helio G88 Chipset, 90Hz Display, and Android 13 Out-of-the-Box

Infinix, a popular smartphone brand here in Kenya, has launched its latest addition to their affordable Hot series – the Infinix Hot 30. This smartphone is a successor to the Hot 20, which was released last year, and it comes with several new and upgraded features that make it stand out in the market.

One of the most notable features of the Infinix Hot 30 is its 6.78-inch AMOLED HD+ screen, which boasts a 90Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of up to 600 nits. The screen also has a touch sampling rate of 270Hz and is certified with WideVine L1, providing users with an immersive viewing experience. Additionally, the phone is available in several colours, including Sonic White, Surfing Green, and Racing Black, with a glass-like holographic back that adds to its visual appeal.

With its upgraded Helio G88 chipset, the Infinix Hot 30 offers a significant boost in performance over its predecessor, the Helio G85. Coupled with 8GB of onboard RAM and up to 8GB of virtual RAM, users can expect a seamless and lag-free experience on this device. Additionally, the Hot 30 comes pre-installed with Android 13, which is the latest version of the Android operating system. As a result, users can enjoy the latest features and security updates right out of the box, making the Infinix Hot 30 one of the most advanced smartphones available in the market.

When it comes to the Infinix Hot 30, the camera system is definitely a standout feature. The phone boasts an 8MP selfie camera that sits within a punch-hole cutout, as well as a 50MP primary camera that’s complemented by another lens. This setup guarantees that users can capture stunning photos and videos with ease, even in poorly lit environments. With this camera system, users can take professional-grade photos and videos without the need for additional equipment.

The Infinix Hot 30 also comes with a 5000mAh battery that supports 33W fast Type-C charging, ensuring that users can stay connected for longer without having to worry about running out of power. Additionally, it has a side-mounted fingerprint reader and is a dual sim phone, with an additional slot for adding a microSD card.

The Infinix Hot 30 is available for purchase at the company’s retail stores countrywide and online at XPARK, their official online store, for Ksh 22,899. In addition, Infinix also launched the Hot 30i and Hot 30 Play, which are also available for purchase at Ksh 15,499 and Ksh 18,399, respectively.

To promote the launch of the Infinix Hot 30, Infinix partnered with Blaze by Safaricom, OnFon Mobile, and Fanta to host a live-streamed event at KICC. The event featured performances by several artists, including Sylvia Saru, Ndovu Kuu, Boutros, Fathermoh, and Exray. In addition, Infinix also awarded winners of its #MuHoat challenge, with Cluster KE dancers coming in first place, followed by Dance Federation Africa in second place and Ole’tile Family in third place.
