TECNO, a popular smartphone manufacturer, has released its latest budget lineup – the Spark 10 series. This new series replaces last year’s Spark 9 lineup and features four different models: the Spark 10, Spark 10 Pro, Spark 10C, and Spark 10 5G.
The Spark 10 series comes with several upgrades over its predecessor, including a larger LED flash housing that gives the camera island a faux triple camera system design, similar to Apple’s Pro series of iPhones. The Spark 10 retains its predecessor’s dual 50MP camera setup, while the Spark 10 Pro features an upgraded Helio G88 processor, and both models come with 8GB of RAM and 8GB of virtual RAM.
The Spark 10 series supports dual 4G and has dual slots next to the expandable storage slot. Both models have high refresh rate screens, with the regular Spark 10 featuring a 6.6-inch 720p display, while the Spark 10 Pro boasts a 6.8-inch 1080p screen. Additionally, the regular model comes with a notch housing an 8MP selfie camera, while the Pro has a centred punch-hole design with a 32MP selfie camera.
Both models come with 5000mAh batteries and support 18W fast Type-C charging. For biometrics, there is a face unlock feature and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
The Spark 10 and Spark 10 Pro are available in five different colours: Meta Black, Meta Blue, Meta White, Meta Green, and Starry Black and Pearl White, respectively.
The Spark 10 series comes with Android 13 pre-installed with HiOS 12.6. The regular model starts at Ksh 19,300, while the Spark 10 Pro is priced at Ksh 20,500. The Spark 10C is the most affordable model at Ksh 15,500, and the Spark 10 5G Ksh 17,500, respectively. The TECNO Spark 10 series is available at TECNO’s official retail stores, Safaricom’s official retail shop, and online at Masoko, Jumia, and Kilimall.
