Samsung Unveils the Next Generation of Flagship Devices in Kenya: The Galaxy S23 Series

Samsung has announced its new lineup of flagship smartphones, the Galaxy S23 series. This series comprises three smartphones, the S23, the S23 Plus, and the S23 Ultra, all packed with the latest and greatest features that Samsung offers.

The Samsung Galaxy S23 series displays are top-notch, with each device featuring a flat 120Hz Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with HDR10+ support. The display sizes range from 6.1 inches on the S23, 6.6 inches on the S23 Plus, and a massive 6.8 inches on the S23 Ultra. Samsung promises that the displays are incredibly bright, with a peak brightness of 1750 nits.

The devices are protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2 on both the front and back, as well as armour aluminium frames, making them sturdy and durable. The S23 series is also rated IP68 for water and dust resistance. The fingerprint reader is an ultrasonic under-display reader for added security and convenience.

The camera setup on the S23 series is top-notch, with the S23 Ultra sporting a 200MP primary lens and a 10MP periscope telephoto lens with 10X optical zoom, 10MP telephoto lens with 3X optical zoom, and a 12MP ultrawide lens. The S23 and S23 Plus have a 50MP primary camera lens, 10MP telephoto lens with 3X optical zoom, and 12MP ultrawide lens. The selfie camera on all three devices is a 12MP lens with video recording capabilities of up to 4K 60fps and HDR10+ video support. The main cameras support up to 8K 24fps and 30fps and stereo sound recording.

The battery sizes on the S23 series start from 3900mAh on the S23, 4700mAh on the S23 Plus, and 5000mAh on the S23 Ultra. The devices support 45W wired charging on the S23 Plus and S23 Ultra and 25W wired charging on the S23. They also support 4.5W reverse wireless and 10W wireless charging. The devices run on an overclocked Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset and Android 13 with One UI 5.1.

Samsung has announced partnerships with Badili Africa and Safaricom for trade-ins and data offers. With each pre-order, customers will receive Samsung Care+, allowing one free screen replacement. The Samsung Galaxy S23 series will be available for pre-order on February 2nd and will be available for purchase on February 28th.
