WhatsApp to Introduce a Convenient Local Network Chat Transfer Feature for Android Devices

According to information we have from WATBetaInfo, WhatsApp is making it easier for users to move their chat history from one Android device to another. WABetaInfo indicates that the latest beta versions of the messaging app include a feature that allows users to scan a QR code to transfer their chats over a local network connection.

Previously, users had to rely on Google Drive to transfer their chats; however, if the latest information is to go by, the new feature simplifies the process and makes it faster. To use the feature, users simply need to go to the WhatsApp settings on their original device and tap on the option to export or transfer chats to another device. This will bring up a QR code, which can then be scanned by the new device using the WhatsApp companion mode.

The new feature is still in development, so it is not yet clear when it will be available to users. However, it is expected to be rolled out to beta testers soon, with a wider release in the stable version of the app to follow. The inclusion of this chat transfer feature is welcomed for WhatsApp users, as it will make it much easier and faster to switch to a new device without losing their chat history.
